I can only play with them for a short while before I have to give them back. I make no profit from this tentative venture.A/N: Written for the Strike Hiatus Contest at spn_thur_nights, using blind prompts 9, 16 and I (Dean, John and a pen). 212 words"Do I have to do this, Dad?" Dean asked, consciously pouting in an effort to win sympathy. "It's just like school.""Yes, Dean, you have to. Writing it out will help you remember it later, and you wouldn't want Sam to get hurt because you stumbled over a ritual." It's always about Sammy, and Dean has to listen to his father when it's about Sam, especially after letting the shtriga find them. That had been a hard punishment, and sometimes Dean wondered if the extra work was because of that. He had a long way to go before he was as good as his father, after all, and John Winchester was the best.Currently, though, he was bending down over the table, looking at what Dean had copied out so far. "Do you want to use my pen?" he asked, and smiled as if it was more than just a bribe.Dean thought about it, dropped his pencil and reached for the pen that his father held out. It was a big solid pen that made thick letters, and his father used it to write in his journal, the one Dean wasn't allowed to see. Maybe, if he did his best writing, he could still go outside before the sun went down.
Interesting. I think this is really well gone.
Thank you very much. =)
